Scotlands Liberation Movement

WANT TO KNOW THE PLAN?

Scotland’s Liberation Movement

Aims and Objectives of Salvo and the Scottish National Congress of Liberation Scotland

The aim of Liberation Scotland is to restore the political sovereignty of the people of Scotland, remove the British state’s ‘administrative’ control of the assets owned by the Scottish people and obtain for our nation the restitution owed by the British state for its fraudulent appropriation of Scotland’s natural resources over many decades.

The Scottish National Congress Steering Group, for and on behalf of Liberation Scotland, asserts those rights under:

• the universally accepted principles of international justice

• the agreed and constitutional provisions and limits of the international Treaty of Union according to the principles of Treaty law

• the UN Charter, the Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts and other relevant international laws or agreements.

We affirm that neither the UK Parliament nor any domestic court, including the UK Supreme Court, is empowered to legitimise the wrongful actions of the British state by any domestic statute or ruling whatsoever:

The characterization of an act of a State as internationally wrongful is governed by international law., (Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts, United Nations 2001).

Recognising that:

a) the campaign to establish the rights of the Scottish people, and the lawful limits of Westminster control in Scotland, must be conducted internationally and

b) a national Liberation Movement is entitled to register for standing with the United Nations

Liberation Scotland has been established as a vehicle of the Scottish Liberation Movement. Registration can be assisted by achieving at least the same membership as claimed by Scotland’s largest political party and by the creation of a representative civic assembly, the Scottish National Congress.

The educational and campaigning arm of Liberation Scotland, Salvo, is committed to the restoration of the sovereign rights of the people of Scotland and of the territorial nation of Scotland under international law through:

• Raising public awareness in Scotland and internationally of the true position of Scotland as a de facto colony within the United Kingdom

• Restoring public awareness of the historical and constitutional record pertaining to Scottish political and social identity

• Challenging the British establishment’s colonial narrative which erases or misrepresents Scottish historical, political and social identity

• Challenging the British establishment’s ‘legal and political’ narrative which has hidden, ignored, erased or misrepresented both the constitutional limits and provisions of the Treaty of Union and the territorial and political rights and benefits to which the people of Scotland remain entitled

• Advancing Liberation Scotland’s campaign to bring Scotland’s true condition to international attention and establishing our rights under international law

In furtherance of these aims, Salvo is undertaking a Liberation membership drive based on the Edinburgh Proclamation. Membership is free. The aim is to achieve a membership level which demonstrates clear public support for Liberation Scotlandand confirms the Scottish National Congress (SNC) as deserving of standing and recognition within the United Nations.

Having gained standing, the SNC will seek a UN intermediary and through that intermediary, an advisory ruling from the International Court of Justice. The question to be addressed is whether Scotland is:

a) in a voluntary political Union, one governed by a legal agreement, (the 1707 international Treaty of Union), whose conditions and limits must be respected or

b) a colony i.e. in an involuntary ‘union’, since it is now administered through the English domestic Act of Union 1706, under conditions subject to the UK parliament, dominated almost 10:1 by the English partner in the Union.

We will show that a ‘United Kingdom’ exists in name only and that the pre-Union,English constitution, English political settlement and English Crown institution are imposed on Scotland as if it were merely an annexed territory of England.

In bringing Scotland’s cause to the attention of the international community, we shall do what the Scottish Government, as a legislative arm of the Westminster government in Scotland, cannot do. We shall engage in a diplomatic and legal, international campaign so as:

• to establish a proper and internationally recognised remedy for the flagrant abuse and breaches of an international, treaty-based agreement and the violation of international law

• to end the oppression and exploitation of a sovereign people and restore our lawful rights

• to end the theft of our national resources.

The SNC strategy recognizes the following:

Although an advisory ruling by the ICJ is not normally binding, it becomes so when the matter relates directly to existing UN policy under international law. The right of a nation and a people to decolonisation is such a policy.

If the UK government agrees to honour its treaty obligations, Scotland will immediately assume control of its own territorial resources through a public body independent of the UK government or its subsidiaries.

Our devolved government will be empowered to implement the practical, political mechanisms of autochthonous, Scottish, (not 18th century European), popular sovereignty. This can be realised through modern, direct democracy which will empower the people of Scotland, who are entitled to ‘choose the form of government best suited to their needs’, (Claim of Right, 1689, as reaffirmed by ‘Scotland’s Claim of Right’, 1989), to hold a referendum on any issue, including independence, at any time.

If the UK government refuses to honour these treaty obligations, we believe that the ICJ must conclude that Scotland is, in effect, a colony. Such a ruling will become binding and should result in Scotland’s immediate listing for decolonisation.

MY COMMENTS

The above spells out clearly the purpose and direction of Salvo, Liberation and the Scottish National Congress. These three organisations are running in tandem in the same direction. Salvo will be the campaigning arm of the movement and we are calling on everyone to sign up to Liberation.Scot while also joining Salvo.Scot if you wish to take part on the campaigning side. Regional hubs are being set up NOW across the country and on joining Salvo you will be given the details of your local hub to join up with our local teams. We have big plans and our summer recruitment campaigns will be shortly underway. Your country needs you! Welcome aboard! WAKE UP WORLD…SCOTLAND’S ON THE MOVE!

I am, as always

YOURS FOR SCOTLAND.

BEAT THE CENSORS

Sadly some websites seek to censor what their readers have access to read. This is particularly true of sites whose existence is primarily to support the views of one particular party and they seek to block articles which do not slavishly support that particular doctrine. My readers have worked out that the best way to defeat that attack on the freedom of speech and thought is to share my articles widely, thus defeating any attempt at censorship. My thanks for this.

SALVO AND LIBERATION

Are playing a crucial role in taking Independence forward. This site limits donations to Yours for Scotland to a maximum of £3. We do not need more as all we seek to do is to cover the costs incurred in running the blog therefore once this is secured each year all further donations are forwarded to Salvo and Liberation. My thanks for all who choose to support us in this way. It is appreciated.

PRESS RELEASE

Statement from Salvo, Liberation and the Scottish National Congress Steering Committee.

Iain Lawson, the chair of the Scottish National Congress Steering Committee and Liberation Scotland stated, “We were delighted to learn of the expert legal opinion obtained by the Alba Party on the legality of the Supreme Court Ruling last November as to the competence of the Scottish Parliament to hold a future referendum on Scottish Independence.

We are not surprised that the legal opinion provided finds that the Supreme Court ruling would not stand up in the international courts as it is contrary to international law and was erroneous on several points, not least comparing Scotland’s position with that of Quebec.

We note and strongly agree with the recommendation that the best route to correcting the wrongful denial of the right of the people of Scotland to self-determination is by seeking an ICJ, advisory ruling via the UN. (Liberation was established last September to do just that.) A National Convention representative of the Scottish electorate, can of course begin that process although it could not gain official standing at the UN. A Liberation Movement has that ability.
Our proposed goal, however, is somewhat different and more ambitious than obtaining international recognition for a lawful referendum.”

Sara Salyers of Salvo continued “Our organizations have promoted this route since July (Salvo) and September (Liberation) 2022. But we are determined to correct more than the wrongful decision of the UK Supreme Court. The UK government has a very long record of producing judicial rulings and opinions that support its despotic control of Scotland’s people and assets. Most of these would dissolve on contact with international law.

Essentially, the United Kingdom, exists on the basis of an international agreement, the Treaty of Union. That agreement is the constitutional settlement without which there can be no Union. If the limits and conditions of that agreement can be torn up and thrown away, as they have been by the stronger ‘partner’, then what you have is not a ‘united’ kingdom but the annexation of one nation by another.

We are working towards restoring those limits and conditions, (and we’re not talking about the price of salt here!), as the prerequisite for the lawful continuation of the United Kingdom. Without which Scotland can only be reclassified as a an annexed country – a colony.

First, the limits of the treaty mean that Scotland remains a sovereign, territorial nation; Westminster has never had any right to extract our oil and gas, nor is it entitled to our renewables. We aim to restore public control of our exclusively Scottish resources and also hope to use the ICJ process to obtain reparations for decades of stolen assets. Second, the condition of the treaty, the ratification of the Claim of Right, means that the people are the sovereign authority in Scotland with the right to the kind of direct democracy that reflects their supremacy. (As happens in Switzerland.) This provides for us to demand and get a referendum on any matter at any time we choose.

John Brown, speaking on behalf of the Scottish National Congress concluded “ we welcome this further confirmation from an international legal expert that a representative body is required to ensure true representation from the Scottish people in this process and this is what the Scottish National Congress will provide, a body representing the people rather than professional parties and politicians, free of party politics and United in the sole aim of providing fairness and progress for Scotland.

The New Year

And here we are, after a year that could be easily forgotten as grim, difficult and foreboding. Will 2023 be different? Will people around the world defend their democracies with vigour and determination, democracies which are in danger from those who would see democracy replaced with autocracy?

When will entire nations of people march in the streets, and fight against those who are intent on putting systems in place to propel them above the law, and administer punishing retributions on the rest of us as we seek to follow the rule of law? At what point do people say they’ve had enough, and form groups in villages, towns and cities to rise up against those who seek to enrich themselves above all else?

How many new cults and ideologies will spring into life and flourish, and seek to diminish or remove the rights of parts of our societies, as the gender/predator cult has done with women’s rights? Who will protect our children as those who seek to prey on them get legal and social barriers removed, in partnership with governments who care nothing for the safety of our loved ones, to give them free access, with the weight of legal retribution for anyone who dares to resist?

And when do we take to the streets to protect our right to use cash to trade with, a right which is in danger of being removed and replaced with digital currency (by the WEF and their political acolytes), which is controlled by bankers and their supporters, a group who have always (with one exception in Iceland) sat above the law, as the real and unelected power in the global economy.

2022 was a terrible year for many.

2023 will be what we make of it, if we have the will and determination to push back and diminish those who would see us in perpetual servitude to a system that is nothing to do with democracy and everything to do with economic and social fascism, i.e. Capitalism.

There are strikes going on in many countries, including the UK. Support the strikers, and be patient. They are fighting on our behalf to maintain our rights, hold up safety standards that keep the majority of us from harm, and fight for a universal level of living income that will actually pay the bills.

I regret this post doesn’t contain any good news, but we won’t fight against the darkened reality being imposed on us if we don’t face the unvarnished truth.

We’re in trouble, and many of those rights and privileges we take for granted are being stripped from us, on a daily basis.

Time to rise up and remove those from office who work against us, the people, and begin to vote not along party lines, but for individuals who will, working together, overturn a system that is killing our societies, and many of the people in them. If we want proportional representation in the UK, particularly England, then it will not come from the current political parties, it can’t. They are too heavily invested in the current system, and will fight to preserve it, whatever they may say in their duplicitous soundbites.

We need fresh politicians, not bound to the current establishment structures.

Now.

For us Scots, our path is clear. Support those who are currently building a consensus outside of the establishment captured environment that is Holyrood, and carry that consensus into direct action, no matter what the politicians may say. Most of them are getting rich and staying warm while many Scots suffer from a lack of heat and food.

Sign up with Salvo and Liberation.Scot to join a fast growing movement that is independent of current political party organizations. The more signatures we get, the closer we are to approaching the UN directly, bypassing those in Westminster who continue to keep us just where they can get their grubby claws on our resources. The same stolen resources that could lift all of our people out of poverty.

Delia and the Outer Planets.

At last, after many challenges, most of them technical, Delia and the Outer Planets, the first in the Outer Planets series, is alive, and on this site.

Subscribers can find it in the Stories tab, under Offworld Tales.

Delia and the Outer Planets is the story of a scientist who is shunned by Earth’s academic community, and the public, not only for the threat she poses with her brilliance, but her respect and admiration for offworlders, not born of Earth.

A routine yearly journey to a Symposium becomes much more, and she must decide which direction her future takes, along with the extensive experience of Jump-Drive technology she carries in her mind, a technology Earth has a oppressive monopoly on, and has no intention  of letting it go..

Winter Nights.

It’s drawing towards Winter, and once again this year, I’ll be cocooned in my little cottage, writing stories both long and short. I hope to have the first story up on the site in the middle of December, with two short stories shortly after.  This is a new venture for me, and figuring out how to use WordPress and all its workings has been a challenging journey. Still, here we are.

I’d like to thank those users who have jumped in early with subscriptions, I appreciate your entrepreneurship! It’s my intent to add stories on a regular basis, building up a collection to be read in a conventional browser format, here.

Now it’s back to the story i’m trying to finish, called Delia and the Outer Planets, a short tale about a scientist who is out of favour with her peers on Earth, and is drawn into the fight for independence in the Outer Planets systems.

To Mastodon….

I feel the wave of discontent as the aware pack their trunks (no pun intended) and step onto the road anew….

It’s happened. Twitter faces a new competitor.  A social network based on opensource tech, and values. Elon Musk is to be congratulated for getting people off their seats, and out into the world, where alternatives exist and are finally being taken seriously.

I first opened a Mastodon account in 2019, in anticipation of a surge of new accounts, but it didn’t really happen then, as the motivation to seek something other than Twitter, or Facebook just wasn’t there. A lot of folk seem to accept the mantra “Better the devil you know” rather than seek alternatives. Even Zuckenberg’s journey into the much vaunted, and massively failed Metaverse failed to irritate people enough to spur them into action. (at least not immediately)

But it was Musk who lit the social gunpowder, first vowing to remove restrictions on anyone to be truly “open”, then posting suggestions for Ukraine to capitulate large chunks of their territory to Putin, followed by endorsing Trump’s Republican Party (Maga) in the midterms, that seemed to push many tweeters over the edge, and the great exodus to other platforms began. Mastodon servers glowed hot as hundreds and thousands of people opted to try something new that wasn’t  controlled and ruled over by Musk, and his fellow social media oligarchial emperors. Both Mush and Zuckerberg  have seen their fortunes drastically reduced, and that’s entirely due to their follies, fed by their egos.

Stories of mass sackings, the entire board sacked,  some spectacularly inappropriate decisions, like the blue tick spat, in which Musk got his ass kicked by the ever astute Stephen King, all served to feed the rebellious discontent of ever more dissatisfied tweeters, and large corporations who vowed to cease advertising on Twitter until the mess was sorted out.  And there are some serious dollars walking away from Twitter if the lists of defectors, both brands and people, are to be believed.

The age of Federated social networks began a little while ago, but it’s now that the public are figuring it out, and they seem to be embracing the new, real, freedoms. Each server in the Mastodon/Fediverse posts clear intentions of quality, safety, and responsibility, on the part of both the server administrators and their members. Those that seek to go around these rules to espouse their particular brand of extremism will be met with far quicker consequences than before. Not just individuals, but entire server instances can be blocked from any other server or servers, immediately if required. And the pile on of individuals, to get them banned and satisfy a particular ideology, will be far less likely to be tolerated by users, who take ownership of their server as their place to their online home.

And if a “tooter” becomes tired of a server, they can leave and join another, or start their own.

We have a new socially interactive community with which to communicate with each other. It’s up to us how well it works..

Madness….

It’s twilight zone time in UK politics. A right wing party has become ever more right wing, replete with the taxpayer funded and thoroughly amoral ERG cult, English National Front members, and UKIP wannabees gleefully driving the party toward full blown fascism. The Tory leadership race is some sort of twisted episode of a TV series extolling the virtues of idiocy/barbarism/corruption….the list goes on.

Where is the relief from this? Where are the english people who care enough about the dying embers of their democracy, that they will get out of their comfort zones, and march in the streets enmasse?

Around the world, and particularly in Europe, the people have had enough of the much touted WEF programme that seeks to enhance democracy (globalists speak for crush democracy), and put permanent control of the planet in the hands of the few. (Conspiracy theorists would argue they already have control.) We can expect to see more as one nation’s people embolden more to join in, and the dominoes fall.

But the UK public seem to be supine in their mock rage. NHS and other public service workers, along with a sizable number of citizens, are going to foodbanks to survive, while CEOs and shareholders are raking in millions and billions while they crush any chance of workers getting enough to survive on. It’s called economic slavery, and the UK is not unique, but it is a world leader.

The madness is the public continuing to vote for those who are inflicting this harm on them. I understand the wealthier folk will laugh at the working class, because it’s important to them to feel more important. That’s part of the class structure politicians work hard to keep. Have the middle class blame the working class for all societies problems, while the rich continue to evade proportional taxes for their earnings, and the bad publicity that would go with that, if the public were smart enough, or care enough to realize they’re being played in a scam that’s been running for centuries?

It’s time in the UK, like a growing list of countries around the world, for a general strike. The public work together and support each other to crush the profit streams of those who sit in comfort while the UK burns and crashes. We can do that in a number of ways, but refusing to pay the TV propaganda tax, and getting out each day with neighbours and friends to put a great deal of pressure on politicians and wealthy business owners is a good start. Find small businesses again, locally. Talk to local small holding farmers and visit market days instead of buying chemically questionable produce in supermarket corporates. Cut out the middle man profiteers, and buy direct. Make the effort, and there’s a chance life could improve. Trying to save the entire planet economically is too big for one person to think about. Local action, multiplied across nations can have a massive effect, and achieve the same result.

Because the path we’re on, and the public acceptance of it through apathy and indifference, including voting for those who perpetuate this terrible system, over and over again, is the route to madness….

Parallels..

It’s been quite a while since my last post as I continue to work on my books and short stories. I hope to start posting them soon, and I’ll add details for subscribers when that happens.

So much has happened over the New Year and into 2022, which is off to a problematic start with the war in Ukraine. I hope the Ukrainian people keep their freedom and get the rest of their country back again. They need our support and encouragement, faced as they are with what is, and historically regular it seems, Russian barbarism. It’s worth reminding the world that Kyiv was a thriving metropolis when Moscow was still a swampy forest, and Putin’s relentless historical revisionism bears no relation to reality, nor has it ever done. He’s envious of Ukrainian historical seniority, and his continued attempts to render Ukraine extinct are a reflection of this. He will not stop with Ukraine, he cannot. His fatuous pride and monstrous ego will drive him on and on until the majority of the Russian people stop him, and at the moment, they show little inclination to do that.

And there’s the continuing death of democracy in the UK, as the Tory Party continue their fascist dismantling of anything that benefits the people including protection from their government, led by another would be dictator with a massive ego, and a level of narcissistic sociopathy previously unseen in UK politics. The right to protest is gone, as is the right to free and fair elections, hidden away behind the voters bill, which will exclude millions from being able to exercise their right to vote for the lack of a voters ID. Both these bills are parallels of Putin’s laws in Russia. You can expect the Met Police in particular to enthusiastically wield the baton against anyone who dares to question the system, knowing they can act with impunity and with complete protection from any consequence for their actions, a parallel with Putin’s Militsia. What’s next. Room 101?

Putin will be pleased, knowing his investment in the Tories, and the roubles spent buying Brexit, are paying dividends. Johnson will be pleased the public have backed him and not turned out in the streets in their millions protesting his relentless determination to dismantle anything that stands in his way of a dictatorship in all but name.

The world is going mad.

The Cowardice of Hesitation. Or is it?

It’s independence season again. That time when the SNP government tout their independence credentials, with a conference to come, and the inevitable request to “donate to the Independence cause”, again. With the SNP (allegedly) having lost thousands of members, and questions about the financing of their party inner circle salaries (again allegedly), with, it seems, what little short money they get from Westminster having to cover not only MP’s staff that sit in the House of Commons, but the murky roster in Holyrood, most of whom we think we know about, but maybe not all, it’s a vastly different and entirely more sinister variant of what was our nations proudest and best chance independence party that Alex Salmond handed over.

It’s been 7 years since the Great Indy Trek began, in the hands of the Murrells, as they immediately began gutting the party from within, to form a new entity, a personality based party ideology, that gave token and diminishing respect, if any, to lifelong and deeply committed SNP members, some of whom had chapped doors for decades, and in many cases, although in far fewer numbers than before, still do. Any committee, group, or organization that spent their time building independence infrastructure and relationships with the Scottish people was steadily diminished, it’s power stripped to make way for a new march of sovietesque heroism, that of the biggest ideological (and extremely profitable) scam of the last decade, the transgender cult.

In that time, we’ve seen 7 years of broken promises, relentless headlines of some variant of “Indy’s just around the corner”, all accompanied by a donation drive for members to put their hands in their pockets, and dig deep, again and again. Trust us, Nicola Sturgeon said. And many did, only to be betrayed time and again, with Independence pushed into a remote political glen, with a stagnant loch, reeking of the smell of duplicitous intent. “We got the suckers again” became normalized, as did lies and mis-directions whenever any member, blogger, online commentator, or folk that desired Indy above all else, questioned the SNP leadership. Those who pressed harder, replete with the intelligence and battle experience of chasing independence against those determined to prevent us from having it, were, to put it bluntly, stabbed in the back. The SNP leadership, in cahoots with the Crown Office, some members of the Scottish legal community, and Police Scotland, contrived to imprison an innocent man, likely for life, with false accusations, ably assisted by the mainstream media, who were suddenly flush with 3 million pounds, and determined to earn it for their new masters.

Why? We’ll know more details soon, as Alex Salmond’s civil suits begin to bite, but it seems clear that he was seen as a threat to not only Westminster, but Holyrood too. There are some able politicians left in Westminster, although far fewer than before, all of whom respected Alex when he sat among them, and argued passionately and intelligently for Scotland’s case.

But when it comes to Holyrood, there are very few that are as politically capable and savvy as Alex, by a wide margin, and then some. It’s more than likely Alex made a noise about the lack of independence momentum, and from that moment, not one, but two governments, and their increasingly parasitical organizations set out to destroy him with falsehoods. He wasn’t the only target, but it’s Alex who had, and has, the gravitas, political intelligence, and passionate leadership to successfully transition our nation from what is a colonial economic and social outpost to once again being free. And the move to oust him, and lock him up, came from a Cowardice of Hesitation, by those who feared Scotland standing on its own two feet. There are those among us indy types who know what to do to make the transition, calmly, determinedly, and fearlessly, unafraid to work to remove the colonial parasite from our country, and build our own society, for Scots, shaped by our inherent sense of justice, empathy and inclusion.

A Cowardice of Hesitation is what is holding us back. Or is it? Is it hesitation for fear of the future, or fear of not knowing what to do? Nicola Sturgeon has proved herself to be a political lightweight, and in my opinion, a very nasty piece of work. I don’t trust her at all, and I would not want her duplicitous talons wrapped around anything to do with a newly independent Scotland. Her drive is for herself. She wants all of us to worship her as the “Great Leader”, when she’s not remotely qualified or political capable enough to ever aspire to such heights. Aspire she does, but she forgets it’s us who decides her fate, and the Indy movement, as it evolves, has an increasingly dim view of those who seek glory and power for themselves, to the exclusion of all else. Her star is waning, and she has distanced herself from Scotland’s future as she seeks to manipulate our political system for her own gain.

She is, at her heart, a coward. She will cling on well past the point where it is political clever to do so. She is already destroying the momentum of Independence, and we will have to work hard to rekindle the flame to the level of bright enthusiasm and passionate determination we need to gain our freedom. She uses our system against us, and in doing so, taints it with the same foul brush that is so eagerly wielded by the parasitical organism that is the English Establishment. She thinks she has learned well, and is deluded enough to believe she can continue to fool those who would do better to take a step back and look at the evidence of the last 7 years. Her time is coming, and the frenzied arsekissing she indulged in at COP26 seems to indicate she knows the end is nearer than not. The question is, is she smart enough to see the writing on the wall and get out now, before all those foul machinations she’s created and used catch up with her?

I believe not.

She’s a coward, and blind to anything but the adoration of those who throw themselves at her feet, and willingly comply, no matter how objectionable the task they’re given. She cannot speak in anything but speeches, and is more like the failure that is Teresa May in her inability to think on her feet, and answer in realtime, without a script. She shares May’s lack of self-awareness, surely a death sentence for anyone who declares themselves a leader, as May proved. She has relied on the good will of the decent SNP members for too long, and they are beginning to leave in ever greater numbers. Will she step down gracefully, unlike May, before she’s pushed, and before Angus Robertson and Alyn Smith duke it out to stab her and each other in the back as they walk over her political corpse in their desire for power?

Her cowardice is the reason she doesn’t want independence because she’s frightened of the task involved in transitioning to independence. (along with her continued lust for power, and building what she thinks is a suitable CV into an international post in the UN or EU.)

Her hesitation is deliberate, as she’s just not good enough to build a free nation. Nowhere near good enough.

There are others who are, and it’s to them we must turn.

We cannot continue to accept the Cowardice of Hesitation.
